ABOUT

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is going to conduct Common Written Exam (CWE) in the month of October (IBPS Exam Phase VII 2017 OR IBPS PO CWE VII 2017).

Institute of Banking Personal Selection start its operation as Personal Selection Services in 1975. It is an autonomous agency in India. IBPS is an independent entity at the behest of Public Sector Bank and Reserve Bank of India.  

IBPS is research oriented institute and envisioned as self-governed academic, with a mission of enhancing human resource development through personal assessment.

In two steps IBPS PO Exam is set up – Common Written Exam and Common Interview.IBPS PO CWE is an online paper of objective type which covers five subjects. It includes Reasoning, English, Aptitude, Computer and General awareness test.

IBPS department schedule the IBPS Online Exam (CWE 7) in two parts

1. IBPS Preliminary Exam and

2. IBPS Mains Exam for Clerk and PO posts.

All the participants are first fighting with the preliminary exam after successfully registered herself/himself in CWE CLERK VII and PO/MT VII exam; they will be. And the candidate who will shortlist in pre-exam will be called for the Main exam. According to the marks gained in mains exam, the candidate will be shortlisted for an interview.

Eligibility Criteria

All students who are graduate can apply for IBPS Exam 2017. So all students should be aware of their Eligibility for IBPS PO Exam.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS PO Common Written Exam based on  3 point as Nationality / Citizenship, Educational qualification, Candidates age limit.

The details about these points are as follows:

Education Qualification – All Candidates must have completed their Graduation Degree from any recognised institution or university. The Candidate also required their mark sheet numbers while they submit IBPS PO online form 2017.

Nationality / Citizenship – Candidate must have

  • Citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee.
  • Migrated peoples from Burma, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, the United Republic of Tanzania, Pakistan,  East African countries of Kenya, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit – Age of the candidate must be between 20 – 30 years.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern (CWE VII) Details

IBPS PO Common Written Exam is having Objective type paper. Online Written exam includes five subjects are Computer, General Awareness, English Language, Reasoning, Quality Reasoning and all subjects having their weight

200 Objective questions will be there. Time duration is 02 hour and carrying one mark of each. Negative marking will also be there for the wrong question with 0.25 marks.

Admit Card

Admit card of IBPS PO 2017 for the preliminary exam will be available in September 2017. Candidate can download their IBPS PO Admit Card through registration number/roll no and date of birth/password.

IBPS PO Admit card will be available for downloading until 15 October 2017.All the candidates who have shortlisted for the mains exam will be able to download their admit card in November 2017.

Steps of downloading IBPS PO Admit card is given below:

  1. Firstly visit the official site of IBPS www.ibps.in
  2. Select CWE PO section.
  3. Then click on download call letter.
  4. In the next screen, You have to enter your registration number and D.O.B.
  5. As you submit it, you can see your admit card. Take print out of it.

How to Apply

IBPS PO 2017 Application form will be available in between July to August 2017 on its official website i.e. http://www.ibps.in/

Candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready:

  1.      Scan copy of your signature and photograph.
  2.      Always put your name in small letters. Capital letters are not accepted.
  3.      Necessary document for online payment.
  4.      A working or valid email-id

Application Fee (Payment must be made in online mode only)

  1. For all the candidate except SC/ST/PWD category candidate: Rs. 600/-
  2. For SC/ST/PWD category candidates: Rs. 100/-

IBPS PO Cut Off 2017

IBPS PO 2017 cut-off of preliminary was released on 1st November 2017. Those candidates who qualified the pre exam will call for the main exam. The main exam is held on 20th November 2017.

Exam Centres

  • The mode of conducting IBPS PO exam is online at numerous exam centres. This exam centre is located all over the country.
  • Candidates are not liable to make any request for a change in the exam centre.
  • IBPS is authorised to add or cancel any exam centre.
  • You may be allotted other exam centre apart from the one you had Chosen IBPS is authorised to do the same.
  • It is not allowed to misbehave inside the examination hall. If you do so, it may lead to cancellation of your candidature.

Selection Procedure

Among all the candidates, who will be selected, would depend upon following factors:

  • Performance in Preliminary Test.
  • Performance in the Main exam.
  • Verification of documents and
  • Interview

Details Regarding Pre-Examination Training

The Participating Organisations or Nodal Banks are responsible for arranging Pre-examination training for candidates of SC/ST/Minority Communities category.

They may arrange pre-examination training at various places such as Agra, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Allahabad, Aurangabad, Bareilly, Balasore, Behrampur (Ganjam), Bhopal, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Dhanbad, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Gulbarga, Hubli, Jabalpur, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Karnal, Kochi, Kavaratti, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Mangalore, Muzaffarpur, Mysore, New Delhi, Nagpur, Panaji Tirupati, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara, Vijaywada, Varanasi and Vishakhapatnam.

At the time of filling online application form, all candidates will have to specify their choice of Pre-examination Training.

IBPS PO 2017 Interview

Candidates, who have gained the minimum marks needs to qualifying in the IBPS PO Main exam; they will be only called for attending the interview process. The total marks for the Interview will be 100.

The candidate needs to achieve 35% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidate, and  40% marks for GEN qualified in the interview.

List of Required Documents Need to be produced at the time of Interview

  1. Printout of Interview call letter;
  2. Printout of online generated duly-filled application form;
  3. Date of Birth proof. One may submit either Birth certificate or Std. X/SSLC certificate;
  4. Photo Identity proof;
  5. Bachelor’s degree mark sheets and related certificates;
  6. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST category candidates have to produce Caste Certificate as issued by the appropriate authority. OBC creamy layer candidates are suggested to choose their category as “General”.
  7. Disability certificate needs to be submitted by candidates belonging to PWD category. The certificate should be obtained from District Medical Board.
  8. Requisite Documents for Exservicemen category candidates.
  9. In case you want to claim for age relaxation then you’ll have to produce the requisite documents;
  10. Experience certificate, if you have.
  11. Any other certificates if required in support of your eligibility.
